YouTube Stitch Fix Unboxing

Welcome to my first Stitch Fix unboxing! You can watch in real time as I open a Stitch Fix box and show you the contents inside. Followed by a Stitch Fix try on, you’ll get to see each item the stylist chose for me. If you’re wondering how Stitch Fix, works or what the process is like, I’ll cover all of that here in the review section. From the Stitch Fix login process to returning Stitch Fix products, I’ve outlined the entire process here. At my fashion blog you’ll find both Stitch Fix bad reviews and good reviews, some cover fit and others material choices. I did have a few problems here and there, but any issues I’ve had were resolved in the end. Their customer service is good so I feel comfortable recommending the company’s services. Stitch Fix Review

So what was in my Stitch Fix haul? I made a special request of my Stitch Fix stylists and asked them to choose something that could be worn from work into the recording studio afterwards. This is what they picked for me.

Chambray Jean Shirt

Chambray tops aren’t just fashionable, they’re very comfortable. The stylist picked a very nice design for me that I liked a lot, I only returned it because the fit wasn’t quite right for me. I either like my dress shirts to be oversized or fitted. Slightly large at the waist and not wide enough at the hip, I did send back the top. For the record the fabric was really great on this piece.

Printed Infinity Scarf

The scarf was the only Stitch Fix item I saw that I immediately knew I would be returning. It’s actually a cute print, and I like the continuous infinity scarf style, but it was made in polyester. I’ve mentioned in several on my YouTube videos that I really don’t like polyester. I don’t mind polyester fabric every now and then, but if I’m going to pay for it, it needs to be very cheap. That’s why anything polyester I have is pretty much just from one of my Shein hauls or Romwe shopping haul videos.

Faux Leather Piped Black Suit Jacket

So very sad that I had to send this Stitch Fix jacket back. This piped leather jacket style is perfect for my work needs. I easily could have worn it to my office and then straight into the recording studio afterwards here in NYC. The sleeves were about two or three inches too long for me, otherwise the suit jacket would have been a real win for me.

Black V-Neck Fuzzy Sweater

Sending this fuzzy black sweater back was also sad, I wanted to keep it too. Though I returned it, it wasn’t because I didn’t like the style or cut. Doing web development during the day means that I can’t stand having things cover my hands, and this fuzzy V neck sweater is about 3 inches to long in the sleeves for me. It’s true that I could just roll the sleeves up, but if I’m going to buy a sweater, I’d just prefer that it fit already. Other than that, the material was super soft and really great. Some women actually prefer sleeves that cover their hands. Long sleeves are definitely a kawaii look, they just don’t work in my particular line of work. From coding during the day to playing the piano and sewing in the evening, I need me hands free to move about.

Burgundy Mid Rise Jean

Perfectly mid rise and slightly stretchy, the velvet stretch jeans were the best part of my order. Created by the brand Tencel, they were such a great fit for my body type. Trying on these burgundy jegging styles jeans was like finding a long lost friend. They fit like a glove, and were also very affordably priced. I ended up returning them ONLY because they ripped when I took them off. I was so upset too because I truly fell in love with them. When the jeggings ripped, I had already confirmed online that I was keeping them. Customer service quickly refunded me and fixed my order though after one email. I’m still in mourning over the loss of those jeans.

How Stitch Fix Works

The first time you order from Stitch Fix, you’ll feel a bit like you’re being interviewed for a stylist position yourself. It’s important to fill out your answers as accurately as possible because the stylist will look at your information before creating your shipment. Here are some of the things you’ll be asked about.

Stitch Fix Questions

  • What brands you like
  • How you like your clothes to fit
  • How much do you want to spend
  • What kind of clothes do you wear the most
  • Describe your body shape

It does take a few minutes to enter in all of the information Stitch Fix asks for, but it’s worth taking the time to do correctly. When your stylist creates your look, they’ll take into account the brands you like, your fit preferences and body type entries. Using all of that information, and whatever specialty notes you include, the Stitch Fix stylist will create a shipment that you’re probably going to like.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times are very flexible. If you want to receive your clothing items right away, then you can request regular delivery. Your stitch Fix box will come in the regular seven day shipment cycle, maybe a day sooner or later. A great benefit of working with the Stitch Fix company is being able to schedule deliveries ahead of time. When I’m ready to do another Stitch fix unboxed special, I order it online and then ask for it to be shipped at a certain time of the month. For example, I’ll plan out what YouTube videos I want to do for the month, and I ‘ll schedule the delivery near the last week of the month. It really helps me out with scheduling my posts and shopping haul videos.

Stitch Fix Returns

Perhaps one of the best features at Stitch Fix, returns are very easy. You can do everything at home. My very first Stitch Fix haul and try on, I was surprised to find the return shipping bag include in my box. They only catch with Stitch fix, and it’s my personal opinion that it’s a catch, is the time available for returns. The return period isn’t the same as other standard companies with a 30 to 45 day policy. It’s a good thing you can do everything at home because the turnaround has to be fast. Decide what you’re keeping and returning, and put what you’re returning into the shipping bag they provide in your order. Login online and click the items you’re returning, then print out the slip they provide. Tape it to the box and drop it off at the closest USPS.
