I’m very excited to report that I’ve received my second Stitch Fix box! I recently updated my sizing and clothing preferences based off of my first experience with Stitch Fix. I feel that overall, my stylist did a much better job with this Stitch Fix box than the previous shipment. They do say online that the more you work with your Stitch Fix stylist, the closer they get to your ideal outfit. I’ve yet to receive a Stick Fix shipment that I didn’t like in some way or another. I currently have my Stitch Fix preferences set up for a shipment around $500, and I allow them to send me one luxury item each time too. Please excuse all the loud noises in my Stitch Fix YouTube video. Living in New York City means that my shopping haul videos tend to have moments of what I like to refer to as NYC “loudness”.

The second box I received included a rayon and viscose tie front floral peplum top, cute Sam Edelman black mohair flats, and a Bailey black suit jacket. There was also a great pair of distressed ripped frayed unhemmed jeans in size 27. I also received a Stitch Fix purse this time, which was a first for me. Inside the box I found a medium sized cut out purse in light pink. It featured a grey and white lining and had a petite golden chain. I really enjoyed the handbag with cutouts, it closed with magnets and the chain was dainty and didn’t hurt my shoulder. In my Stitch Fix shopping haul and try on, you’ll get to see all of these items. Some I’ll wait together, and some will be paired with other women’s clothing pieces that I have in my closet. For more information on the individual Stitch Fix products, please read below. Otherwise watch Stitch Fix unboxing above, and enjoy watching my experience in real time!

Sam Edelman Mohair Flats $120

I have to say I was a little freaked out by the faux fur flats. Was it the mohair that surprised me? No. Did the animal print design take me by surprise? No. I was freaked out that out of all the shoes and animal print flats in the world, that my stylist Stitch Fix specialist would know to send one of my favorite brands. I adore Sam Edelman flats. If you’ve never had a pair, go purchase some Sam Edelman shoes right now and discover the meaning of work shoes that are comfortable. These black and white flats were extremely comfortable and highly fashionable. I love every aspect of their construction from the leather lined trim, mohair fabric, and the petite kawaii bow in front. These are excellent Stitch Fix shoes, and the stylist was right to pick them out for me.

Distressed Jeans $88

The distressed Stitch Fix jeans in my box were by far one of my favorite clothing items from all 3 of my Stitch Fix unboxings. For those of you who also watched my very first Stitch Fix unboxing, you know that I had some problems with the jeans or jeggings they sent me. Those stretchy jeans ripped when I tried them on, it was very funny. These stretch distressed jeans fit me really well and were very flattering to my body shape. The fabric though stretchy, still maintained it’s structured look and was very comfortable against my skin. My stylist at Stitch Fix did an excellent job picking those jeans out for me.

Cupcakes And Cashmere Ruffle Top $88

I did return the pink and white floral peplum top to Stitch Fix. Once again it wasn’t because I didn’t like the style or appreciate the cut of the material. I liked both, but as you can see in my Stitch Fix unboxing video, it was just too big on me. I was having a hard time keeping the straps on my shoulders and bending over at work would certainly have been a no-no. The fabric in the peplum top was very nice, and though I did have to press it before modeling it, it didn’t requite much work to make it camera ready. Excluding the fit problems, it was a nice flower peplum top that I wouldn’t mind having in my clothing collection.

Black Jane Knit Blazer $248

I loved the look, cut and feel of the Bailey black suit jacket. It was actually my favorite thing in my Stitch fix shipment. I did end up returning the bailey blazer, even though I think it looks great on me (even if I do say so myself). Since I’m a seamstress and I know my fabrics pretty well, I didn’t feel comfortable paying that much money for a rayon, nylon and spandex jacket. If the suit jacket had been made in satin or even just a quality broadcloth, I would’ve considered keeping it. I just don’t enjoy the feel of rayon and nylon against my skin. Ignoring the fabric content, the construction of the blazer itself was both modern and cute. I really liked the way that it was made and sewn.

Laser Cut Pink Purse $38

The fold-over laser cut out purse in pink was great. It was the perfect size purse for a lady like myself who is on the go. I never carry bags larger than this one unless it’s a gym bag. With a 15 minute walk to the subway, again to work, and back to the subway again, I don’t need anything heavy or larger than that. I liked that the Stitch Fix stylist picked something that was versatile too. With two different ways to wear it, it would be a fun piece to mix and match with day and evening looks. I was also able to fit my cell phone, wallet, and battery charger in the bag. This shows that the stylist was really thinking about someone’s day to day needs. There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a handbag just to find out that life’s essentials don’t fit inside right ladies? The stylist did a great job with this bag selection for me and my life needs.

What’s this Gothic little Lolita look Page?

Well I’m happy you noticed! If you’re new to my kawaii clothing blog then you’ve probably notched a central theme by now. I like to feature Japanese kawaii things, and am obsessed with all things from Japan. With my anime obsessions, I tend to wear Gothic Lolita looks pretty frequently with a focus on wear-ability. That means that I love Japanese clothing and anime costumes, but I still need to go to work everyday and to be taken seriously. Make sure to subscribe to my blog and YouTube channel to see a lot more kawaii things!
