Romwe Haul And Try On Video Transcript
Hello again, and thanks for joining me here at the Life kawaii. Today I have a Romwe box. I’ll be doing a Romwe box unboxing, and then I will also do a try on afterwards to let you see what everything looks like. As long as it fits, we shall find out. I have never ordered from them before, so this is my very first shipment from them. Alright, one more. I was attracted to this brand for to different reasons. The first being that I keep seeing a lot of YouTube videos for this particular company. So a lot of people are featuring their stuff. There has to be something decent about it, or they wouldn’t all be talking about it. The second reason is they are very, very cheap. If any of you shop at Shein.com, it looks very similar to their website, and the pricing is about the same. So let’s go through these.
Romwe Black Cat Hat
The first one is a hat. I did order two hats. One thing I am going to say really quickly right off the bat here is they squished it to fit it into the box. So I have two hats here, and they flattened both of them to ship them. Obviously that’s not the most ideal situation. I have some different looks in here too. For those of you who don’t subscribe to the channel, I do feature a lot of Japanese kawaii products because I’m into that stuff. A lot of these products will be fit to that sort of niche for example, the cat hat. So here’s the first one. You guys get to see what it looks like. Cat hat.
Romwe Tan Cat Hat
The second one is just a basic tan, a little tan hat that I though I could wear with some of the day dresses and things. It’s also a Japanese esk kawaii cut. You’ll see it has the little cat ears on it too. So here’s the second one. It has a good, nice little snug fit. Now the clothes. There are a lot of clothes in here. Let me count them really quickly. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, I think there are ten, 11 pieces in here. So, here we go. So some of these I ordered because they were really cheap and I actually wanted them for some of my sewing projects.
Hokusai’s Great Wave Shirt
I plan on doing a sewing project with this one. This I believe, unless I’m mistaken, is the famous wave print. Hokusai’s, I think that’s how you pronounce it, Hokusai’s famous wave picture. You’ll see that all the time on bags and things like that. It’s a very popular design. That artwork has some very interesting history behind it if any of you are interested. I would recommend you do a quick search on that. If you like anything Japanese, you should know what that is.
Fitted Pink Heart Cut Out Crop Top
The second one is this little cute, fitted, pink shirt. It has the little heart cut out in the front. I think I picked a skirt to go with that too, somewhere in here. I will be doing some Japanese inspired anime, kawaii looks with this stuff that I ordered. Here is the second thing, it’s just a fitted little full skirt, and it has an applique rose on the front. It’s very cute. I think I got a bodysuit to go with this. Let me see if I can find the bodysuit. No, maybe not. Here it is.
Pink Rose Applique Backless Bodysuit
I’ll go ahead and tell you too, this bodysuit I had mixed feelings on because it’s one of those tactful placed appliques. It’s like right here, so I’m a little nervous to try this, but hopefully it will look alright. If it looks too scandalous I’m not going to show you. So sorry, stay tuned. If I can get away with it then I will show you. Then it’s backless, and it’s a little bit sheer, so those appliques better be thick. I got that to go with the skirt since they both have that little, cute rose applique print.
Japanese Inspired School Girl Skirt
This is my Japanime school girl skirt. I’ll go ahead and tell you right now this looks like it may be a little bit tiny for me. Stay tuned, we’ll see. I did size up because a lot of people online said to size up. This is a medium. It looks small for a medium, but it is a medium.
Romwe House Slippers
So these were bunny slippers. They’re not exactly a clothing item, but they’re super cute. They have a lot of really cool slippers on their website actually. Especially if you like the kawaii things like I do. They have lots of very kawaii slippers and things. These are very cute. I’m supper happy with these. If these even remotely fit, I am keeping them. So this is what they look like. I will video those when I have them on later so you can see what they look like on my feet.
Japanese Crane High Waisted Pant
The next thing, oh yes, so they have a lot of crane printed fabrics on their website too. I liked that as well. There was like a crane printed dress, and I believe a skirt. I opted for the pants selection. These are some loose fitting dress pants that I can were to work. I would need to look online again, but I think they’re high waters. So I think they’re supposed to be two or three inches above the ankle. They have a nice stretchy waistband, and they button and zip. Yes, they button and zip in the front. Hopefully those will look nice. I might be able to wear this with that T-shirt maybe. Maybe, kind a’, sorta’. We’ll see.
Pink Think Patterned Dress Pant
The next thing is a bright print, I’m surprised I ordered this actually. This doesn’t look like my usual order. I don’t even remember what this is. Some thing with a belt? A belt and are these pants? Yes. So these are size medium. Do you remember when I started this video and I said I had not ordered from them before and that their stuff looks like Shein? This tag actually says Shein. So I’m guessing that this is just another brand that Shein owns. Then they just want to take up more space on Google search so they probably went ahead and bought a second domain, and they’re just selling them under a different name. That’s interesting. Good marketing move. I mean not good for other people who want to compete with them, but good for them. High waisted, striped, floral print pants with a belt. Although it’s interesting that there’s a belt because their are no belt loops. That might be interesting.
Romwe Kawaii Doormat
The next thing we have is my doormat. My new doormat. Of course it’s Japanime-esk and very cute. I should just go ahead and put this in front of my door. I’m definitely keeping it. They have a whole bunch of really cute kawaii doormats and house slippers, and even some very nice accessories. It feels nice and fuzzy. so, there’s that. You can go ahead and go in front of the door.
Romwe Jeggings
This is the last thing. They’re jeans it looks like. Oh. I take that back, not jeans, jeggings. They’re like stretchy jeggings. Are these a medium too? I have a feeling I should’ve ordered larges in everything. Although I’m definitely not a large, but in their sizing, I am. Jeggings. They’re very stretchy, take a look at that. They have a stripe down the side. The real reason I was attracted to them was I liked at the end how they kind of curved upward. They have this, it looks like bias piping at the bottom, but it’s actually a fake bias piping. It’s just like lace sewn on top of the outside which is not how you do bias, but it looks like it. I just thought that that was really cute. I think these should be high waisted as well. So let me try all these things on and let you see what they look like.
Romwe Earring Dangling Cat
I almost missed this in the box. This is a little dangling kitty cat earring that I ordered, and it’s just one. They had multiples so you could order different colors of cats, or you could wear two if you wanted, but it’s designed to be worn just by itself. Then it can be mismatched with the other side if you want. It’s very cute. I’m glad I found it before I almost threw it away with the empty box.
What I Kept And Returned
So I just wanted to finish up with letting you know what I was going to keep and what I’m sending back, what I liked, what I didn’t like. I do actually like this backless top, but I don’t quite feel comfortable in it. I will either exchange it for a larger size or send it back. I can’t remember if it’s one size or not. I do like the little pink skirt with the rose appliques, I’m going to keep that.
Skirts Have Built In Shorts
One thing I did want to tell you about the skirts. I didn’t realize when I ordered them, they all have these built in shorts. So they look like they’re super short, but they actually have shorts on underneath. I felt really secure in both of the skirts, that was great. I am going to send this one back, and ask them for a size large, just because it rides up on me just a little bit in the back because of my bootie. So I am going to exchange that for a large, but I did like the little Japanese esk school girl skirt.
Cheap Cat Hats
The black cat hat I am sending back because I have tried everything to get the dents and everything out of it. Just from where they smashed it flat to get it into the box, I can not get it back into shape. It’s just, it’s basically ruined because it got smashed so badly. That one I will send back. I will keep the other hat, this one. This one was cute and even though they has smashed it flat, you can see it just maintained its shape and everything It’s fine, so I really loved that.
Order Leggings A Size Up
Some things that I was surprised at. The jeggings actually did fit. I will tell you they were a little bit interesting to get on. If you like really fitted high-waisted jeggings or pants, I would recommend these. Depending on how you like the fit, you may want to size up. I already sized up. I’m usually a small in almost every jegging that I buy and already have in my closet. I got a medium in these, and you can see that they were very fitted on me. If you want a little bit more breathing space, definitely size up for sure. I am going to send those back just because it was a struggle for me to get them on. They look pretty good once they’re on, but I had to spend quite a bit of time getting my exterior body parts in in the back.
Pink Floral Stripe Printed Pant
The pink pants, surprisingly I actually did like these. The only thing I’ll say on these is the material is thin. Some of you may not like that. I don’t mind because where I live here in New York it’s ridiculously hot. The idea of having a dress pant that still has thin material that my skin can breathe a little bit through is totally fine with me. I am keeping the pink stripped floral pants. I really was surprised that I liked those as much as I did. The pink top I’m keeping as well.
Ordering From Romwe
Overall I’m keeping most of this haul, I’m surprised how much I liked the pieces. I was very leery of ordering anything from them because I really hate polyester fabric. I really, really hate polyester fabric. Most of their stuff is in polyester, so I really didn’t think that I was going to like anything. I thought it was going to be too cheap. It definitely doesn’t feel like luxurious clothing, but if you want something just cute for a season that’s cheap, that you’re not planning to keep and love forever, then yes I would absolutely recommend it from what I’ve tried so far. I’m keeping the little fitted pink top. that fit me really well. I think you can tell in the video that I liked having it on. It fits well with these high-waisted pants because it’s just short enough.
My Favorite Romwe Products
My favorite thing from the haul itself is the crane pant. So this, let me button it up so it looks nice again. This high-water crane printed pant was my favorite thing I really loved it, it feels really good on. It fit my waist really well, and I loved that it was high waisted. I really like that they have high waisted things. High waisted stuff just always fits me better since I have an hourglass shape. I have a small/medium in this, it says S/M if any of you were wondering on the size. Like I said, I am usually a small so do size up if you plan to try them out.
Sewing DIY With The Great Wave Shirt
I’m also keeping the Hokusai Great Wave shirt. Now for those of you who are interested, I am probably going to be cutting these sleeves off and changing the design of this. I went ahead and ordered this because it was super, super cheap. I think I paid maybe $5 dollars maybe $7 dollars? It was very cheap so I want to do a sewing video on how I’m going to change this if you are interested in doing that. I am keeping for sure the very adorable door mat with the little cats on it, and also the bunny slippers, which are just fantastic. I think that is everything.
