Every year when spring rolls around, there are a few things cultured New York residents can’t wait for. Among the obvious things such as happy hour margaritas at rooftop bars, Central Park walks to the Met Museum, and outdoor Metropolitan opera viewings; there’s also the New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show. My video of the Orchid Show Queens Botanical Garden covers everything that I saw from entry to exit. How just how was my orchids NYC experience?
Everything about the Orchid Show Botanical Gardens 2018.
Why My Orchids Show Video Is The Best For You
I’ve been living in New York for six years now, and I finally went to the Orchid Show 2018 exhibit. My whole goal with filming my organic experience was to show a real life, real time walk through of the orchids display. No one paid me to go, I just went as a New York blogger on my own. I bought my ticket myself, and the gardens weren’t closed off for my video recording. What you see in my NYC Botanical Garden YouTube video is exactly what you would experience if you went yourself. My orchid show video shows the garden’s entrance, the wait line for guests, the orchid show itself, and the gift shop. You can get a realistic idea of what the New York botanical Garden Orchid Show 2018 has to offer and what flower centerpieces and artworks you’ll experience there. Also guess who gets NYC Botanical Garden tickets free? Children two years old and under. So if you have a youngster in the family, you’ll save some money too.
New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show 2018
I can definitely say the NY orchid show 2018 had on display the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen. I work for a flower company in NYC, so that’s really saying something! This year’s 2018 NYC Orchid Show features living art works and floral designs by Belgian floral artist Daniel Ost. Ost is well-known for his artistry of live and fresh cut flowers of all breeds and types. From small luxury flower arrangements to large scale and ornate flower arrangements the tower above, Ost’s name is heard worldwide. After I visited the New York City Orchids Show, it’s was very easy to see why Ost’s flower arrangements are praised in so many countries.
The Orchid Show NYC 2018 experience has been one of the best New York City events I’ve attended so far. The Bronx Botanical Garden Orchid Show is also really inexpensive. Though it does take some time to get there via the subway or a bus, it’s well worth the day trip. Before you go to the Orchid Show New York botanical Garden, be sure to sign up for the newsletter to get discount tickets! I was able to purchase the cheapest New York Botanical Garden tickets online by signing up for their emails. After that you just have to print the ticket out before going there. For disclosure – on your cell phone does not count. It must be printed on a sheet of regular retro paper. Next year for 2019 I really want to try their special experience called Orchid evenings which features musicians and drinks! The event is rumored to be a grand by calm night of fragrant modern flower designs and live music in the conservatory with high skilled musical performers.
NYBG Orchid Show Review
If you can’t tell from all of the information I’ve already shared here about the flower show, yes I do recommend that you go! Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a licensed florist and skilled artist like Ost to appreciate his work. When you watch my orchid show YouTube video you can even hear children in the background exclaiming over the beautiful flowers. It’s a great cheap thing to do in New York City that your whole family can enjoy together. Also kids get in free! It’s also a romantic NYC couples event. Just imagine walking hand in hand at one of the orchid evenings. Listening to gorgeous classical music, drinks in hand, surround by fragrant flowers, how could that not impress a girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife?

Orchid Show Hours
The garden part of the exhibit is open all year long, but the Orchids Show is a special event. In general the garden is open from 10 AM to 6 PM usually 6 days a week. The garden does close on select holidays. For more on show hours visit here.
New York Botanical Garden Parking
They do have parking but it’s expensive. You’ll have to fork out $15.00 per vehicle. You’re much better off just taking the subway or a bus to visit. If you really feel the need to drive your car there, or maybe you have kids in tow, then consider parking outside and walking. There are plenty of free New York parking spots just five to ten minutes away. You and even your family can walk to the front entrance and save that money for lunch. You’ll need it when you see the price of a simple coffee. If you’re a garden member you get to park for free, but I’m guessing most people probably just visit.
Can’t get to New York?
Try searching for a local orchids show. I’m not kidding. When I was researching the NYC Botanical Garden I was surprised to find that there are orchid shows in the US in several different states and cities, both small and large. Just search for an orchid show near me and don’t be surprised if you find something great right around the corner!
You can also visit them in person at the address: 2900 Southern Boulevard Bronx, NY 10458-5126.
